Download Your App Source Code and Hand It to a Developer

Short answer

Yes. On a paid plan you can download the full Expo (React Native) project ShipNative built as a zip. It is standard TypeScript code with no ShipNative runtime, so any React Native developer can open it and keep going.

How it works

  1. 1. Download the zip

Click Download the code in the studio header to get the whole project.

  2. 2. Run it

Unzip, run npm install and npx expo start, then scan the QR code with Expo Go. A short guide in the studio walks through it.

  3. 3. Hand it over

Send the folder to a developer or push it to your own GitHub repository. It uses Expo Router and standard packages.

What to know first

  • Downloading needs a paid plan.
  • There is no automatic GitHub sync yet. Push the downloaded folder to GitHub yourself.
  • Code you have already downloaded stays yours, whatever happens to your subscription.
